Lucid Dreaming is not a terribly complicated concept; it is simply the state of being aware of dreaming while you are dreaming.

A Lucid Dream is a dream in which you are aware that you are dreaming. The degree to which your Lucid Dream is lucid is dependent on how much of the dream you can remember once you awaken, how stable the dream experience is and how much control you have over the dream.

The most important part of this equation is the control you have over the events of your dream and that you know that you are in fact dreaming.

You are in control and can decide the direction things go and other than your imagination, there is no limit to what you can do.

Take a minute to consider the possibilities. While everything that happens in a Lucid Dream may seem real and can be experienced by all of your senses, there are no lasting effects to your actions; you can do anything you want without fear of injury when lucid dreaming and there are no limits on the things you can do.

The bottom line is; a lucid dream is yours. It is your personal virtual reality, and you can be rest assured that even the most sophisticated computers in the world can’t provide you with anything similar.

Most people rarely, if ever, experience Lucid dreaming without first learning of the skill. However, it is an incredible skill that, with the right training and practice, even more people in today’s society are learning to master. You too could have the exhilarating Lucid dream anytime you wanted to with the right skill set.

Lucid Dreaming gives you the opportunity to have any experience that you can think of. You can meet anyone you ever wanted to, visit other planets, have unbridled erotic experiences, speak with the loved ones you have lost; anything you can imagine can happen.

Having regular Lucid Dreaming can be a difficult thing to achieve. Until very recently, it was something which required months of training before any results would be seen; and some people never managed to achieve their goal of Lucid Dreaming.

Can one find simple ways which make it possible to experience a lucid dream?

Some people have found that eating certain foods right before a sleep session has encouraged a lucid dream to occur. On the list of foods that seem to be successful for this process are: Orange Juice, Milk, Cheese, and mustard. You could try these just before heading to bed.

Other foods are less effective but are still thought to help; pickles, ice cream and popcorn. These foods do have the drawback of having a lot of salt or fat meaning that they are less likely to produce restful sleep.

Is technology able to help?

Your chances to experience Lucid Dream session improves with the new advancing technology. There are now devices on the market that alerts you that you are dreaming and which can induce a Lucid Dream Session. These are quite innovative in that they are simply masks which monitor your eyes. When they detect REM or Rapid Eye Movement, which is an indicator of dreaming, a red diode blinks into your eyes. This beam is registered in your brain and serves as a reminder that you are in fact dreaming and that you are still in control. It is then that you can take control o the dream.

In addition to the devices mentioned above, there have also been some marvelous developments in sound technology which by all accounts have quite literally opened the doors to the world of lucid dreaming. Scientists have developed a process known as binaural beats which utilize sound waves of different frequencies played into each ear.

Binaural frequencies can synchronize the hemispheres of the brain; as you listen, your mind reaches the state of REM sleep; which is necessary fro Lucid Dreaming to occur.

If you have always wanted to try Lucid Dreaming for yourself, binaural sound presents the quickest and easiest way to begin.
