How Lucid Dreaming Is For Everyone

Lucid Dreaming -- that is, Conscious Dreaming -- is the craft of having awareness while you are deeply dreaming. In other words, while you dream, you know with perfect clarity that every event is not happening as fact, but also this not the 'it's just a dream' experience. For you see, when lucid dreaming, your awareness gives you tremendous power over how the dream goes, almost like consciously fantasizing but having all of the vividness and time-and-place-bending powers of the usual dream.

This is a true metaphysical power, this power over your own dreams' actions and events. Instead of things being done to you, you are the star, and the writer, of the story, and you can use this power to help bring about great changes in your own waking life.

So, you ask, can it really be that simple? Surely not every single common person who wants to can experience lucid dreaming!

You can easily practice lucid dreaming. Many studies prove that you have the ability to do this, if you commit yourself to learning how to harness this powerful medium while expressing your inner desires.

Not only that, you have to have very defined objectives about exactly what you want to accomplish with your lucid dreaming. Is this about recreation? Is it about solving a problem whose answer eludes you in your waking life? Is this about enhancing your creativity? It's up to you, but it's got to be clear. Your objective itself must be lucid!

That's the prerequisite for learning how to lucid dream. Once you have it down, you'll start on Dream Recall. This means you will clearly recall the dreams you had the previous night. Without Dream Recall, you will never get to the level where you can do lucid dreaming.

This can be a slow process, but success is achieved by maintaining a Dream Recall Register, or 'dream journal', where you write down your dreams in as much detail as you possibly can, especially upon waking. Slowly but surely, you will in this way train your mind to be able to remember even the minutest details of your dreams. You are subconsciously opening the doorway between day and dream, and this is the bridge you cross into lucid dreaming.

Some individuals have found that the time for preparing the subconscious mind for experiencing lucid dreaming is reduced greatly by having hypnosis. You have the ability to continually recall your dreams by having one or two sessions, in most cases. Once this occurs your mind is then conditioned for lucid dreaming.

Going back to sleep for a couple of hours after waking in the morning can induce some excellent lucid dreams, especially if you are new to the experience. These dreams are 'just next door' to lucid dreams because you end up wondering if they were actually dreams or if it was that your thoughts manifested as an anticipated event.

It's not difficult; just set an alarm clock to go off a couple of hours before your regularly scheduled waking. Wake up to the alarm, switch it off, and then return to sleep and experience some vividly lucid dreams.

If you set your alarm clock, say, to go off at at 4AM when you aren't getting up until 6AM, you can then wake up, turn off the alarm, go back to sleep for a couple of hours and have a strong lucid dreaming experience. Along these lines, knowing your own sleeping patterns enables you to figure out the very best times for you to do lucid dreaming.

Insomniacs receive tremendous help from lucid dreaming. When you can let it sink into your mind that when you go to sleep and lucid dream you are 'reclaiming the sleep hours', the problems that are keeping you awake at night are seen as problem-solving opportunities, not blockages, by your subconscious mind, and that part of your mind then makes it so that you can fall deeply asleep and no longer suffer.

And now, modern advances in sonic technologies have enabled us to learn far faster and more easily how to experience the power of lucid dreaming.

A lot of people agree that listening to binaural audios is definitely the easiest and most consistently successful way of experiencing lucid dreaming.

Binaural audios work by playing various degrees of frequencies into each ear. The results are deeply relaxing for the listener and then shifting their brain waves to the same frequency for having lucid dreams.

Previously the only way you could learn to lucid dream was by using meditation techniques that may take years to master with strength of mind and perseverance. Before enjoying this technology most individuals found it too much of a struggle to persist.
