Is Lucid Dreaming Real?
\"Conscious Dreaming\" or Lucid Dreaming involves remaining aware during a dream. That is, when you are having a lucid dream, you know that you are dreaming; but you are still \"inside\" the dream, not standing outside looking in. In dreams as in life, awareness gives you great power, and you have power over the course of your very own dreams.
This is a true metaphysical power, this power over your own dreams' actions and events. Instead of things being done to you, you are the star, and the writer, of the story, and you can use this power to help bring about great changes in your own waking life.
Is it as simple as that? Can you experience lucid dreaming and manifest those things that seem impossible or difficult while being awake in reality?
Lucid dreaming is not so difficult to practice. There are various studies that prove you can do this, if you really want to learn how to use this powerful medium of expressing your inner desires.
Before anything else, you've got to be perfectly clear about your objective for your own lucid dreaming. Is this just going to be your infinite playground, or is there some specific problem you want to solve through the power of the lucid dream? This is personal, but you have to be clear about it before you can move forward.
So, you have that clear as a bell's peal in your mind; now begins the earnest process of learning this craft, which begins in Dream Recall; that is, recalling a dream of the previous night's sleep experience. Even those who claim they \"never dream\" can and must learn this before they can truly experience lucid dreaming.
But once you see clearly what your aim is, you can start the process of mastering lucid dreaming. Dream Recall is the first step. This is where you become able to remember, in detail, the dreams of your previous night's sleep. Without Dream Recall, there can be no lucid dreaming.
This can be a slow process, but success is achieved by maintaining a Dream Recall Register, or \"dream journal\", where you write down your dreams in as much detail as you possibly can, especially upon waking. Slowly but surely, you will in this way train your mind to be able to remember even the minutest details of your dreams. You are subconsciously opening the doorway between day and dream, and this is the bridge you cross into lucid dreaming.
You might suddenly wake up when you're right in the middle of a lucid dream. But this will not matter; you’ll be able with ease to remember all of the important details of that dream. Now, simply relax yourself and go back to sleep, while continuing the dream in the direction that you want to go. Upon waking it will be clear to you that you've got the authentic power of conscious dreaming or lucid dreaming.
Occasionally you may find yourself wide awake while you are lucid dreaming. You will be able to easily recall all the vital details of a dream with the power you have so far achieved. Simply allow yourself to relax and go back to sleep. You can continue your dream in your desired direction. You will begin to realize that you have experienced the power of conscious dreaming the previous night, after you wake up.
You can also induce lucid dreaming by going back to sleep just a couple of hours after you get up in the morning. This type of dreaming can cause you to wonder if you were really dreaming or if you have somehow manifested your thought-forms into reality. Dreaming at this time is the closest you can get to actual lucid dreaming.
This is easy to do by setting your alarm to chime just a couple of hours before you would normally wake up. Once the alarm goes off, simply wake up and turn it off and then go right back to sleep. You can enjoy your lucid dreams. In order for you to pinpoint the best time for lucid dreaming it is most helpful to keep a record of your personal sleeping patterns.
Now until recent times, this craft known as lucid dreaming took up a great deal of one's time, and many grew frustrated and quit because of this. But recent advances in audio technology have made things far, far easier for anyone who seeks to experience lucid dreaming.
And now, modern advances in sonic technologies have enabled us to learn far faster and more easily how to experience the power of lucid dreaming.
One of the quickest and most efficient means of learning how to lucid dream is by listening to binaural audios.
Binaural audios work by playing various degrees of frequencies into each ear. The results are deeply relaxing for the listener and then shifting their brain waves to the same frequency for having lucid dreams.
Before the discovery of this system of binaural sound waves you could only achieve this level of relaxation by many years of meditation study.
When binaural sound waves and hypnosis are used for preparing the subconscious mind it is very possible for you to experience lucid dreaming sooner.
