How To Become A Lucid Dreamer

Any dream in which you are conscious that you are dreaming and can manipulate the dream is considered a Lucid Dream. Used contextually in this instance the word lucid refers to simply means that you are conscious and aware. The true extent of your lucidity actually varies according the stability of the dreaming session, your experience with lucid dreaming, how well you can influence the dream, and how much you remember when you wake up.

The most striking aspect of a Lucid Dream is this very control. Knowing that the things going on around you are only a part of your dream is something which is quite unlike anything else. You are at the wheel of this ship and have full control over what happens. Other than your imagination, there are no boundaries to what you can do in your Lucid Dream experiences.

Imagine for a few moments what that is like. Dreaming usually seems a lot like reality. Most people even feel most of their senses and faculties as if they were awake. The difference is hat in a Lucid Dream, they know they are dreaming. They know that, no matter what happens, they cannot die or become injured while in the dream state. The normal rules and regulations of reality no longer exist. This is, for all practical purposes, you inborn virtual reality world and you make up all the rules. The depth of realism and imagination is not hemmed in by a budget or computer graphics.

There is an increasing number of people who are trying out the possibilities of Lucid Dreaming for themselves. Most of us have a Lucid Dream at some point or another; but just think how amazing it would be if you were able to Lucid Dream any time you wanted!

Lucid Dreams are your gateway to amazing and unforgettable experiences. You can talk to anyone from the past or present, have unbridled erotic experiences and even explore other planets; anything that your mind can conjure up can happen – you are in control of your dreams!

It can be fairly complicated to achieve controlled Lucid Dreams on a regular basis. Up until recently many people spent months in training and using special self-conditioning procedures before even experiencing one single Lucid Dream. Even then, most people never even succeed once, let alone on a regular basis.

So are there any easy ways to have a Lucid Dream?

There are those who believe that some foods can make Lucid Dreaming more likely. These foods include mustard, orange juice and cheese, if eaten shortly before bed.

Others which have been mentioned are popcorn, ice cream and pickles. These are not felt to be as effective as the three mentioned above, but they are sworn to by many who say that they create the mental condition necessary for Lucid Dreaming. Of course, many of these foods are not conducive to restful sleep due to their high fatty acid, fat and salt content.

Can Technology Help?

The technology not only exists, but it is being researched and improved. As this technology improves, so does your chances with experiencing dream lucidity. Some of these devices include masks and eye shade which monitor your eyes and blink a red diode when REM sleep begins. The Rapid Eye Movement portion of sleep is an indicator that dreaming is taking place. The red beam can help people remember that they are in fact dreaming as the red beam becomes part of the dream. Once the person remembers that a red beam during the dream means that they are in control, then they can begin to manipulate the dreaming session.

One of the most effective of these new technologies is one which uses audio frequencies called binaural beats. Each of the listener's ears have different frequencies played into them, which helps you to have Lucid Dreams.

These sound waves synchronize the hemispheres of the brain and produce the brainwaves of REM sleep, which is the state needed for Lucid Dreaming to occur.

If you have always wanted to try Lucid Dreaming for yourself, binaural sound presents the quickest and easiest way to begin.
