How To Become A Secret Conscious Dreaming Freak!

Perhaps more commonly known as lucid dreaming, conscious dreaming includes the ability to realize that you are dreaming while you are doing so and the ability to take control of your dreams, dictating the happenings. Once you are able to realize that you are dreaming, you can go anywhere or do anything in your dream.

Think about what you will want to do when you are lucid dreaming. Do you want to enjoy your dreams more, fly in your dreams, hunt down the villain as in a video game or use them to help you solve problems in other areas? It does not matter why you want to lucid dream as long as you have a goal and a mindset to achieve it.

The first thing you should do is to figure out what your goals are in learning conscious dreaming. Do you hope to have more enjoyment from your dreams, or is conscious dreaming a vehicle for you to achieve some of your other life goals?

Once you’ve made the decision to start learning to conscious dreaming, you need to know the techniques to help you achieve that state of mind. Conscious dreaming is achieved with a particular state of mind you learn with the techniques available. Begin with dream recall, simply remember the dreams you have already dreamt.

Remembering your dreams is the first step in having conscious dreaming experiences. The easiest way to train yourself to do this is to keep a dream diary. Keep your dream diary right by your bed and as soon as you awake from a dream, write down everything you can remember about it.

Another way besides keeping a record of your dreams is to use hypnosis. It will get you to the mindset necessary to have lucid dreams. Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can get you to remember details in your dreams very quickly. Just a few sessions are all it takes. As with the other method, once you have dream recall, you are ready to have a conscious dream.

Together with a dream diary or by itself, hypnosis can be a valuable tool in dream recall and conscious dreaming. In just a few sessions of hypnosis, most people find that they can remember each and every little detail of their dreams. After this can be done, conscious dreaming will start to happen more readily.

You may find, at first, that occasionally you may suddenly wake up during lucid dreaming and it’s normal. Recall the dream and its events and you will go back to sleep. Focus on the dream and you will go back right into the dream. You can make it do whatever you want.

Another method which many find useful for inducing conscious dreaming is to wake up a few hours earlier than normal. Simply set your alarm about two hours early and then go back to bed after awakening. In these last few hours before you are accustomed to waking up, it is much more common to have lucid dreams. These dreams can be hard to tell from simply laying awake and daydreaming! This is a good way to begin conscious dreaming.

Figure out your sleep patterns, as this will help you to figure out when the best times for you to have conscious dreaming experiences are. Don’t short yourself on sleep too much though; being sleep deprived makes it harder to have lucid dreams.

However, lucid dreaming is known to be effective against insomnia as well as other sleep disorders. Lucid or conscious dreaming may teach you to shut your mind to distressing and troublesome thoughts that may prevent a good nights sleep.

Lucid dreaming may seem likely to take years of study to learn, however, that’s not true. It can be accomplished in a short period of time with only a little work, and then you will have accomplished conscious dreaming and control your own dreams.

All of us can have conscious dreaming experiences; and by using the techniques listed here, you’ll be able to get into the driver’s seat of your dreams quickly.
