How Do You Experience Conscious Dreaming?
Wouldn’t it be nice to dream whatever you want and control the events in this dream world? It is a very simple thing to do and anyone can learn it. It is a great tool for playing out feelings and desires that otherwise would remain hidden in the subconscious mind. You can follow simple methods already being used by others for lucid dreaming.
Think about what you will want to do when you are lucid dreaming. Do you want to enjoy your dreams more, fly in your dreams, hunt down the villain as in a video game or use them to help you solve problems in other areas? It does not matter why you want to lucid dream as long as you have a goal and a mindset to achieve it.

Simply place by the side of your bed a notebook and pen or pencil. Each and every morning, before you even get up, write down everything you can recall in your dream diary. The longer you wait the less information you will remember about your dream.
Another way besides keeping a record of your dreams is to use hypnosis. It will get you to the mindset necessary to have lucid dreams. Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can get you to remember details in your dreams very quickly. Just a few sessions are all it takes. As with the other method, once you have dream recall, you are ready to have a conscious dream.
Either on its own or along with a dream diary, hypnosis is a powerful technique for training your mind to recall dreams. In fact, many find themselves able to remember every detail of their dreams with only a few sessions of hypnosis! Once you have gained this ability, you will be able to begin conscious dreaming.
A common problem people have when they get started in conscious dreaming is suddenly awakening from their conscious dreams; to return to your dream, go back to sleep while concentrating on the events of the dream in as much detail as possible.
Another method which many find useful for inducing conscious dreaming is to wake up a few hours earlier than normal. Simply set your alarm about two hours early and then go back to bed after awakening. In these last few hours before you are accustomed to waking up, it is much more common to have lucid dreams. These dreams can be hard to tell from simply laying awake and daydreaming! This is a good way to begin conscious dreaming.
It may surprise you to know that lucid dreaming is good for curing insomnia and many other sleeping disorders. The process of learning to dream consciously also teaches you to banish unruly thoughts that are keeping you from falling asleep.
It does not take long to learn the art of consciously controlling your dreams. It will not take years of study and practice as some may think. Just take some time to practice and work at it and you will be a conscious dreamer in no time.
You may think that it would take years to learn the techniques for conscious dreaming, but the opposite is true. In a short period of time with a little work on your part, you can achieve your goal of conscious dreaming. Explore, control and manipulate your dreams.
