What To Expect With Awake
Dream
Awake Dream or Conscious Dreaming is the art of being aware that one is
actually dreaming. In simple words, while in dream, you are aware that all
the events are not happening in fact, or 'It’s Just A Dream!' kind of
situation. There is certain amount of control you can exercise while Awake
Dream, which is not the case in normal dreams.
The power of having complete control over the direction of your dreams is
something straight out of metaphysical existence. Suddenly, all the
limitations you ever felt in life just cease to exist.
Can it be so simple? Can you Awake Dream and then make those things that
in the waking hours seem impossibly difficult come to life in reality.
As it happens, Awake Dream is not all that difficult. If you really want
to use this technique to tap into the power of your mind, you can do so.
There are proven ways to get you to your goal.
You need to know what you hope to achieve through Awake Dream. Are you
after something specific which can help you with other areas of your life,
or do you just want to turn your dreams into a playpen of the imagination?
Whatever your reason for wanting to learn Awake Dream, know your goal and
be determined to reach it.
Once you have this, you can begin actually learning Awake Dream. It begins
with Dream Recall, or remembering a dream you had the night before. Only
when you're able to do this can you progress into learning actual Awake
Dream.
Understand the process is slow. However, you can be successful by keeping
a personal Dream Recall Register. You will begin by listing daily all the
details you are able to recall about your dream. You will eventually
realize that you can recall some of the most vivid details of your dream.
Doing periodic reality checks, while you are in a dream state will aid you
in training your mind for awareness.
Many people have found that hypnosis can drastically reduce the time
needed to prepare your subconscious mind to experience Awake Dream. Often
just one of two hypnosis sessions will allow you to consistently remember
all of your dreams. Once this occurs your mind is then conditioned for
Awake Dream.
When you begin Awake Dream, you might suddenly wake up from a dream. But
you'll be able to remember the dream you were having in vivid detail. Just
relax and fall back asleep, and you'll be able to go back to the same
dream and continue on with it. When you wake up in the morning, you’ll
realize then that you have the the authentic power of conscious dreaming
Another good way of inducing Awake Dreams is to wake a few hours earlier
than usual, then go back to sleep. The dreams you will have in these few
hours are the easiest to make into Awake Dreams. You may even find
yourself unsure whether you have been sleeping or just thinking to
yourself as you lay in bed. Just set your alarm for a few hours early,
wake and reset the alarm and then go back to sleep and you will be more
likely to have Awake Dreams.
Simply set your alarm to sound off a couple of hours before you normally
awake. When your alarm goes off, wake up, switch it off and then go back
to sleep to enjoy your Awake Dreams. Keep in mind that it is very helpful
to keep a record of your sleeping patterns to determine the best time for
you to have Awake Dreams.
Awake Dream can be a helpful practice for those with sleeping troubles
such as insomnia. When you are having a hard time getting to sleep, remind
yourself that sleep means Awake Dream; and your subconscious mind will
make sure that you get to sleep quickly.
Up until recently learning the art of Awake Dream was a time consuming
process. However recent advances in sound technologies have made things
drastically easier for anyone to experience Awake Dream.
Binaural audio is one of the most reliable methods of getting people to
have Awake Dreams.
These work by playing slightly different frequencies in each ear and have
the result of deeply relaxing the listener and bringing their brain waves
to the correct frequency for Awake Dream to occur.
Before the discovery of this system of binaural sound waves you could only
achieve this level of relaxation by many years of meditation study.
Binaural sound waves, especially in tandem with hypnosis can prepare your
mind and allow you to begin Awake Dream very quickly, sometimes even on
the first try!
How Do You Learn How to
Awake Dream?
Very simply put, a dream in which you are conscious that you are dreaming
is known as an Awake Dream. The expression 'lucid' in this context means
aware or conscious. But the extent of your 'lucidity' can vary according
to how ‘stable’ the dream experience itself is, how much you manage to
remember about the dream when you wake up, and also how much influence you
have in taking control of the dream itself.
It is this last factor which is the most remarkable and amazing thing
about experiencing an Awake Dream. Being able to identify the fact that
you are having a dream is astounding. You can decide which direction you
want the dream to go in and there really are no limits to what experiences
you can have!
Just think about this for a moment. an Awake Dream is like reality in
every aspect; you can se, feel and use all of your senses, but with the
knowledge that you are perfectly safe and can do literally anything you
want. Awake Dreaming is a virtual reality experience far beyond the
capabilities of any computer technologies to produce.
More and more people are learning how too use the skill of Awake Dreaming.
Most of us have an Awake Dream from time to time but just think how
wonderful it would be to be able to have an Awake Dream anytime you want!
Awake Dreaming gives you the opportunity to do anything you've ever wanted
to do; to experience anything you've ever wanted to experience. You can
meet your favorite celebrities of the present and the past, visit other
planets, have wild erotic experiences; anything which is within the power
of your imagination is possible in Awake Dreaming.
The ability to Awake Dream regularly is one which it once took a very long
time to learn. Many would spend months in training before they were able
to have their first Awake Dream – and for some, Awake Dreaming stayed just
out of reach no matter how much they tried.
So are there any simple ways of experiencing an Awake Dream?
Some say that you can help increase your odds of having an Awake Dreaming
by eating certain foods before bedtime; among them are mustard, orange
juice, milk and cheese.
Others recommend popcorn, pickles, fish and ice cream. While these people
say that these foods prepare your mind for Awake Dreaming, it should be
noted that many of them are also high in salt and fat, which won't
necessarily help you to get a good night's rest.
Can Technology Assist You?
New advances in technology have made it easier for people to experience
Awake Dreaming. Some of these devices use LEDs – there are sleep masks and
eyeshades which can detect REM sleep and set off a LED, reminding the
sleeper that they are dreaming. This then lets them take control over
their dream.
Even more exciting devices are coming to the market. One of these is a
piece of sound wave technology. This has opened up a new realm for those
whom desire an Awake Dream. The process involves playing a different sound
wave in each ear. This process is known as binaural beats.
What this process does is to synchronize the two hemispheres of the brain.
And almost instantly, just by listening to these special frequencies, puts
the brainwaves into a state known as REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep which
is the state needed to achieve an Awake Dream.
For anyone wondering what it is like to experience an Awake Dream, then
this is definitely the easiest and most reliable way of getting started!
