You can achieve lucid dreaming, by also keeping a record of what you remember about your dreams, upon waking in a journal or notebook, that you have by your bed. Do this enough nights and you will begin to recollect the facts you've written, and then you will start having dreams like the ones your wrote the facts about, which this can enable you to start managing your dreams.
Using dream control can allow you to banish your nightmares and have truly incredible adventures in your dreams. Anything you can imagine is possible when you are lucid dreaming.
According to the experts, lucid dreaming has one possible drawback. As in real life, if you have too much of a good thing, this can produce an effect opposite of what you want. Mainly, is that dreaming in a natural state we are often made aware of things about ourselves that are important and things that would have stayed hidden. Lucid dreaming is an experience that is enjoyable and something you should experience, but not all the time. Take a break in between sessions.
